| CHALLENGE ANY TEAM
TO A GAME The scheduling software has a special Challenge feature that allows any team registered to play in the league, regardless of age, gender or division to challenge any other team in the league to a game. Subject to special rules, this feature can also be used to challenge teams playing in other Futsal Leagues outside of the area served by WARFL to games (for, example: teams playing in Futsal Leagues in Southern Maryland). If you see a team you would like to play, look up the team contact information on the league web site and contact them. Ask them is they would like to play your team. If they agree to play and share the cost of the additional game, go online and check the Scheduling Wizard for dates, locations and times available for challenge games. Create A Challenge Game - After both teams agree on a date, location and time, the challenging team goes to the Create A Game Wizard on the WARFL web site. To add a game you enter the team numbers for the home and away teams. The system then asked for the credit card number to be charged for the additional game. The fee for each additional Challenge game is $65 per team for U8 to U11 teams and $80 per team for U12 to U19 and adult games. After the credit card information is accepted the system will respond with the game number for the Challenge Game. Schedule The Challenge Game - The challenging team then goes to the Scheduling Wizard on the WARFL web site to schedule the game. Follow the same procedures used to schedule your league games. |

| Game and Division
Info Sign up early to play where your team wants to play
Divisions - Teams can register to play in one or more divisions. A team plays 4 home games and 4 away games in each division that the team plays in. Teams that play as more than one Futsal team can request to be seeded in the same or different divisions. Enter the request in the request area at the bottom of the online registration form. Teams sign up for the location, for the age group and level of play, where they want to play their home games. Not all age groups and levels of play are offered at every location. In areas where two or more locations are less than 15 minutes apart the league reserves the right to assign teams to play at any location within a 15 minute drive of the location that the team requested. Once a location is sold out a team will have the choice of being on a wait list for that location or of playing at the closest available location. Youth games are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays. Adult games are scheduled later in the evenings every day of the week, depending on the division. Days of the week a facility is available and the times that courts are available for Futsal vary by location.
Teams are accepted in the order that the team's deposit (or full payment) is received. A list of all teams accepted for each location is posted on the web site in the order the team's deposit was received. Online payments are recorded at the time the online payment is made. Mail payments are recorded the day payment is received. If more than one payment is received by mail in the same postal delivery, then payments from teams making full payment will be posted first, followed by teams only making a deposit. Nearby Facilities - In some areas, two or more WARFL facilities are within a 15 minute drive of each other. In these areas WARFL will schedule divisions in the facility that is the most age appropriate. For example, Merritt is used for younger ages because it has more seating for families, while Phillips is used for older ages because it has cinder block walls and is better suited to older ages which strike balls much harder. |

| Winter
Session 2007-2008 Youth Teams - The winter season for youth teams (U8 through U19) starts the first weekend in December and runs through the second weekend in March. There are no league matches, only tournaments, over the year end holidays. Teams with a large number of basketball tournament conflicts, tournament commitments, etc. can use the Schedule Your Own Games feature to avoid weekends with conflicts. Teams can play as many games per day or weekend as desired. There are 13 weekends available for games. To balance the game load evenly through the winter each team must play a minimum of 2 games in December. Adult Teams - The early winter session starts the first weekend in December and ends in January. The next session starts the last weekend in January and runs through March. Adult teams returning for additional sessions prior to August 31, 2008 receive a $100 discount for each additional session. |
