FACILITY CLOSINGS

NOTIFICATION - The Washington Area Regional Futsal League immediately notifies all affected teams if any facility is closed for any reason and games must be canceled. Notice is provided to teams by:

Posting a notice on this page
Posting a message on the Facility Closing Hot line (Number Reserved for Coaches and Team Managers only)
Sending an Email to all affected teams
Sending a Voice Mail message to up to two emergency phone numbers provided by each team

CLOSING POLICY - The Washington Area Regional Futsal League rents time in the facilities in which games are played and must pay for the time purchased even when the time is not used, unless the facility is closed by the facility owner. When a facility owner closes a facility due to weather or a problem which makes the facility impossible to use, the facility owner makes comp time available so that all canceled games can be re-scheduled. The facility owner does not warrant that the comp time provided will be at times and/or on days acceptable to teams whose games have been canceled. The league makes the comp time available to all teams whose games have been canceled, but has no control over the affected teams being able to play at the comp time provided.

RE-SCHEDULING - If a facility is closed and comp time is provided by the facility owner, the league will contact all affected teams so that they can re-schedule missed games. It is the responsibility of the individual teams to contact each other and to agree on a time and date when both teams can be available to play the game. The teams can then go online to re-schedule the game for the time and date agreed to. In the past the league has re-scheduled games for teams, but frequently one team or the other has not been available to play on the date and time of the re-scheduled game.
